Employee Resource Groups

All ERGs are open to all/welcome all WHOI community members who are interested in participating.

WHOI Employee Resource Groups are voluntary, employee-led groups organized around a common identity or common interest to help foster a healthy, dynamic, and supportive workplace environment where all community members can grow and thrive aligned with WHOI's core values. ERGs report to the Chief Organizational Development Officer (CODO) and have an individual mandate to educate, advocate, and connect within the larger community. ERG's provide resources, social support, and peer mentoring to WHOI employees, post-docs, and students . They are funded by the Organizational Development Office (ODO) and develop annual, group-specific programming for the broader community.

Are you interested in starting an ERG? We are always looking for leaders who want to make WHOI a more welcoming and supportive space. If you have an ERG you might like to organize, email Natalie Nevárez at natalie.nevarez@whoi.edu or Marney Rathbun at marney.rathbun@whoi.edu.
